Charleston Birds and Blooms

Join Kate Silvia, a professional nature photographer and instructor based in Charleston, SC, for a special offering that only the locals know about. We'll start our adventure with a short presentation on Bird Photography and an overview of Magnolia Plantation and the Swamp Garden. We will then visit Magnolia Plantation in the afternoon. I have gotten permission to bring a small group of photographers into Magnolia Plantation and Gardens prior to opening on Friday morning. You're going to have access to Magnolia Plantation and Gardens 2 HOURS before they open and we'll be taking advantage of the early morning light, and almost no people, to photograph baby birds in the Audubon Swamp Garden. After spending a few hours in the swamp, we'll continue our visit in the plantation and gardens area of Magnolia where we'll spend the rest of the morning hours. After an early afternoon break, we'll return to Magnolia before they close and take advantage of the afternoon light.
